1. Southeast Asia Standards:

   Malaysia: Environmental Quality Act 1974.

   Cambodia: Secondary Decree on Water Pollution Control (revised in 2021).

   Vietnam: Applicable with QCVN 14:2008/BTNMT Standard.

   Thailand: Implemented by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in accordance with the National Environmental Quality Promotion and Protection Act 1992.

2. European & American Standards:

   United States: Clean Water Act.

3. Middle East Standards: Saudi Arabia: Standards for Reuse of Wastewater for Agricultural and Landscape Irrigation (MWE, 2006).

4. Africa Standards:

   Kenya: Wastewater Discharged to Land and Water Bodies - Specification (East African Draft Standard DEAS 1172:2023).

   Nigeria: Interim Guidelines and Standards for Pollution Control issued by the Federal Ministry of Environment.
